F.A.Q. - Frequently Asked Questions

I want to attend the next AG but I do not speak french.

There will probably be no problem. English is widely spoken in public places such as restaurants, hotels, shops and museums... Quebec being part of the "Organisation of World Heritage Cities" (UNESCO) also presents its information in Spanish and Portuguese. In very touristic places (Old Quebec), Japanese is also used.

What sort of weather can I expect ?

During that period, the daytime temperature is around 22°C. At night you can expect temperatures to be around 12 oC. Rain is always a possibility so before leaving do check Meteomedia.

Two suites have been reserved as well as a games room. Apart from the legendary Mensa atmosphere, you will find light meals, snack foods, munchies and drinks throughout the event. If I wish to visit Old Quebec.

You can use your car, however finding a place to park could be difficult. Park meters on the street are 2.00$/hr and parking lots will vary from 3.00$ to 5.00$/hr.
The bus (Route 11) will take you right downtown at a cost of 2.50$. The driver doesn't sell tickets nor give change so be sure to have the correct fare. The bus stop is near the hotel by the “GoodYear” sign. To find the path of the bus, click on www.rtcquebec.ca. Then go to "Horaires et trajets" "Numéro de parcours: 11". Click on the "arrow" and "Trajet." For more information, click on "Plan du site", "FAQ", "The bus user'sguide" or "Bus routes for all of your activities".
